on this episode of makeup for a minimalist, i’m talking glowing skin. this is my go to regime when i want to have a little makeup on my face – maybe i’m going out or having a less-than-ideal skin day.
glossier priming moisturizer: sometimes i just put this on my face without anything else. it evens out the skin nicely and is super light. it’s basically just a moisturizer, but i feel like it actually does a lil something. emphasis on “feel” cause it probably doesn’t do anything that a regular, plain old moisturizer doesn’t do ;).
glossier perfecting skin tint in light: when i need to even out my face a little extra bit. love this over the priming moisturizer as a) they were made to go together and b) they work together really nicely (duh). sooooo super light and you just rub it in like you would a moisturizer. totally disappears on the skin and i don’t need to set it or worry about creasing/patching up during the day. just gives me a little teensy bit of evening out.
nars radiant creamy concealer in vanilla (light 2): my go to concealer. a nice match for my skin tone and very full coverage but still creamy and blendable. nothing else to say about this one!
maybelline fit me concealer in fair (15): a nice dupe for the nars concealer but with a lighter, more liquid-y formula. nice when you need less coverage but still something. really great purchase and amazing price.
bare minerals correcting concealer in light 1: i picked this up on a whim at sephora cause it’s really freakin’ cute. this sits kind of in the middle of the nars and the maybelline concealers. i like that it’s in a little pot and it does have a good coverage to it. kind of slippery on the skin. i don’t reach for this all the time but overall i’m glad that i purchased it. i think this would be nice under the eyes too, which i don’t really conceal cause i like the dark-circles-cause-i-like-to-stay-up-late look.
rms beauty living luminizer – i just got this and i really like it. i like it on the eyelids, in the corners of the eye to brighten, and/or on the cheeks and nose as a highlighter. it’s really really subtle so it’s a highlighter that even i like to wear. just be careful because it is all natural, so the consistency changes depending on the temperature. it will melt if it’s hot out.
bobbi brown full coverage face brush – this. thing. is. perfect. i don’t use it with the glossier skin tint (i just use my fingers for that) but i will use it if i’m wearing a heavier tinted moisturizer (laura mercier) and i always use it to blend/stipple in my concealer. it works sooo well with the nars and maybelline concealers and really covers blemishes without just wiping the product away. one day i had an epiphany and picked it up to buff in my concealer instead of using my fingers and i was like woaaahhhhh.
