may you see the beauty is the gorgeous tumblr of kristen killie. i learned of kristen via her interview with urban outfitters, and subsequently fell in love with her instagram. i found her tumblr via her instagram. she has an amazing eye for interiors and i love the warm, hippie vibe of her images. her tumblr is just as amazing – a place filled with soft light, pink sunrises, and people you want to be. via may you see the beauty
emma hoareau is the stunning parisian brit behind the blog lolita says so. i first discovered emma when she was featured on into the gloss’ first #itgtopshelfie, or their version of the top shelf for us regular people! emma is a photographer, writer, and editor with an extremely impressive resume, but what i love most is her incredible blog. her imagery is so bright, clean, and dreamy and i trust her opinions on beauty products and fashion alike. if you’re in need of some fresh inspiration, i highly recommend lolita says so.
since i shared a little of my love for jeanne damas yesterday, i thought i would continue with more of my jd inspiration. unfortunately i’ve had some of these for quite a long time (i have a file on my computer titled “mood board” where i save any internet inspiration i find), so i don’t know exactly where everything came from, but i think most are from her tumblr and i included other for-sure credits below. and i know i included so many pictures of her in the mirror with her camera, but i looooove them!via the coveteur, refinery 29, jd’s tumblr, harper’s bazaar, tendances de mode
one of my absolute favorite bloggers, jill lansky of the august diaries is one of the coolest, realest women in the game. her style is simple, casual, and chic, and, best of all, realistic. i get actual outfit inspiration from jill and her look is achievable which is extremely rare these days. her imagery is absolutely gorgeous and so is she. check out some of my favorite august diaries looks below:

one of my old school favorites. such a clean and simple aesthetic. check it out here.
a few years ago, not quite when i first started reading fashion blogs but also not very recently, i happened upon song of style. at the time aimee was an interior decorator/designer and part dj. she was cute and cool and i loved her vibe. after a while, the posts were mostly about trips and sponsors, and i moved on. (side note: does this happen to anyone else with blogs they read? i feel like i find a cool blogger and become a consistent reader, only to soon realize the bloggers have become famous and paid generously, no longer need their day jobs, and no longer seem genuine or realistic. i feel like i’m constantly looking for new, independent, realistic bloggers to follow. i don’t know, these blogs just get boring and are all the same. hmph!)
woah woah woah, that was quite a rant there. really the purpose of this post was to tell you that my relationship with song of style is back on and i’m digging the direction of the blog again. she has great taste, wears distressed denim with pretty much everything, and the photography is incredible. i like that her style is a little more sophisticated than the blogs that i usually look at; it’s a different kind of inspiration for me. her fashion week posts are especially juicy. check out some of my favorites below:
ok, i think you get the distressed denim jist! all images from songofstyle.com.
waiting for saturday is one of my long time favorite blogs. i stopped reading it for a few months unintentionally, but now we are back on in full force. i even tried to work there last year (they were too small to take me on but i had a great conversation with the founders). it is kind of what into the gloss began as, but not just focusing on beauty. it’s simply interviews with rad women – all of whom have great jobs that i always want to know more about – on how they spend their weekends. and it is perfect. they also do great roundups of interesting things around the internet, or special focuses on some of their interviewees who have a particular skill (aromatherapy, smoothie making, etc). peep some of my favorite images below and check out waiting for saturday for yourself! and now, i really am waiting for saturday. >> all images via waiting for saturday
truth be told, i think a lot of style addict’s images come from slufoot, or vice versa. so obviously i’m very into this one! check it out here.
i recently happened upon slufoot, a tumblr run by a girl in california. needless to say i’ve been scrolling through her pages for most of the morning. most of the images she posts are very mellow and vintage in effect. i love how curated the blog is, even though none of the images are her own. i definitely recommend checking it out, and expect to see a lot of inspiration via slufoot on this little blog from now on.
i have been watching stephanie toms on youtube for a while, but admittedly it took me a while to get into her blog. her most recent posts are all about blogging and making your blog popular etc., which isn’t quite what i was hoping for. however, after scrolling through her archives i realized just how much i love her style, photography, and blissfully quirky personality. she’s amazing!
